Google gets IMAP

Now the long wait has ended. Hundreds of Users report that gmail switched on their IMAP access. Gmail offers help pages here. They even posted special configuration instructions for the iPhone.

gmail will make a slow feature rollout to all customers, so that they can make sure that the servers are not all access at the same time for the initially sync.

Enjoy your technology!

UPDATE: More and more users say that after they logged out from their account and logged back in, that then they got the option to activate IMAP.
